Why Hire a Home Organizer?
You might be a hurried parent lacking the time or energy or are just plain busy working 9am til whenever, and just can’t seem to tackle those problem areas — and that’s where a home organizer can help! If you have been wondering WHY you should hire an organizer, here are my thoughts and some answers to common questions!
Embarrassed about your space? Don’t be! We’re all human and only have so much time in a day. It’s my honor to come into your home and save YOU the time and energy of doing it yourself. I will leave it a calmer and more organized place for you to live! It’s truly my passion. Not to mention, a fresh set of eyes can bring a great new perspective!
Day to Day Clutter, you say?
Many of us have a few spots in our house that when we go to them, we wish we had the energy to tidy up and have a better system in place! [And if you don’t, I’m very envious!] We’re spending so much more time at home these days, let’s make it a place of calm.
Whether it be the junk drawers in the kitchen, the office shelves, that super crowded pantry or closet— whatever it may be! I have found that having calm, organized and tidy surroundings have that same effect on my mental health and mood no matter the size of the space.
Clients of mine are SO happy with those unintended results of just ‘organizing’ a space. They have found that daily routines are so much easier when we have edited, cleaned and simplified those problem areas that result from day to day clutter and chaos.
Moving? Just moved in?
I can’t emphasize this enough! Whether you are getting your house ready to sell or have just moved in, I can help!
Before moving, having your house ready to “show” is a time consuming process. We all know this! But, together we can go through each room and determine if anything needs donated, organized or de-cluttered. Some items may even be ready to pack! It’s great to get rid of stuff you have been “meaning to” before you sell so you don’t have to pack and move it with you! [And I’ll take care of that offloading for you too!]
Now once you move in, let’s get it all set up right from the start! I can unpack whichever spaces would be most helpful to you — and save you that precious time! If we’ve worked together before the move, I will have taken pictures and can replicate it as much as possible so you feel right at home! Another great time saving service.
Common Questions
Do I need to buy baskets to organize? That is entirely up to you! I’m happy to work with what you have or buy a few things too! Clients are often surprised at how I can make use of what they already have. Or you may have a vision and I can help that come to life!
Will you donate items for me? One hundred percent! Let me take that off your to-do list.
Will you make me throw things away? Of course not! I truly do not pressure anyone but am happy to talk it through and am fully supportive of either keeping or trashing / donating stuff! Typically broken, expired and unused items are found during the process so it is likely natural to happen.
Should I be there for all this work? For the editing phase, it really can be helpful and more efficient but certainly not required. If your goal is to reduce the amount of stuff, then it is helpful to be there. But when I organize, I can happily do that alone and surprise you with the results!
